MLK Day Volunteering with Repair the World

For Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we are partnering with Repair the World Atlanta to offer two amazing volunteer opportunities with local community partners! Check out these awesome volunteer opportunities! Grab a friend or family member and give back to the community this MLK day!

Opportunity #1: Volunteering at the Toco Hills Community Alliance Food Pantry

Address: 1790 Lavista Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30329

Amount of Volunteers needed: Up to 25

When? Jan 20th from 10am-12pm

What we would do: Toco Hills Community Alliance (THCA) feeds thousands of families a year in the greater Decatur area. Together, we will help to organize their storage area, 5 rooms that store food. This may entail moving boxes of food and/or cleaning the areas as well, as the organization of the items is crucial to their weekly mobile food pantries. Children 14 and up may join with waiver signed by guardian; 10 and up if with guardian. Please wear comfortable clothes and come prepared to do some good work!

Opportunity #2: Volunteering with Books for Africa

Address: 1491 Cobb Industrial Dr Building B, Marietta, GA 30066

Amount of Volunteers needed: 8

When? Jan 20th from 1pm-3pm

What we would do: Book for Africa's mission is to spread literacy as a bridge out of poverty, and they send 4 million books annually to countries all over Africa. BFA volunteers help to sort and pack those books for shipment. Volunteers over the age of 12 are welcome!
