New Moon & Wellness Circle - Shevat (Closed)

Ma'alot New Moon and Wellness Circles meet monthly in-person at participant's homes around Rosh Hodesh, the “head” or first day of the Hebrew month. Circles are co-led by participants within the circle under the direction of Rabbi Ariel Root Wolpe.

In order to build mutual trust and create a space for vulnerability, we ask that participants try their best to come as consistently as possible, and approach this community with a sense of shared responsibility and confidentiality. At a certain point, committed members may opt to close the circle and communally commit to agree upon standards of practice and responsibilities. We support the closing of circles to support trust and relationship building among group members and will facilitate that transition at the appropriate time.

New Moon and Wellness Circles welcome anyone who identifies with Judaism (meaning you do not need to be Jewish, but rather, you feel connected to Judaism) and anyone who identifies as female. We explicitly welcome non-binary, trans and queer folks into our circles. At circles and at all Ma’alot programs, we are dedicated to working hard to offer safe spaces to those who have felt excluded by hetero-normative and cis-normative language and assumptions in the Jewish community.

Groups are currently closed, but you can sign up for our interested list, and we will reach out at the launch of another group.
